We had a blast sponsoring Glover Park Day 2017 last weekend! Saturday June 3rd (Glover Park Day is always the first Saturday in June) dawned sunny and clear and we enjoyed setting up our tent next to Friends of Guy Mason in the children’s area. Glover Park Day, in it 28th year, is a day long festival celebrating the wonderful Glover Park community with food, music, games, kid activities and plenty of giveaways. The festival is held on the grounds of Guy Mason Recreation Center which is a vital part of the fabric of Glover Park.

By noon, our booth was brimming with kiddos who patiently stood in line to have their face painted while their parents checked out the latest housing market figures for Glover Park. Many Glover Park homeowners were pleased to the see the average sale price for a single family home year-to-date in 2017 to be holding steady just over $1,000,000.

We also handed out beach balls which were a huge hit!

The mayor stopped by as did the racing Presidents from the Washington Nationals. Several local bands kept the tunes flowing and nearly every Glover Park Restaurant was on hand with their best lunch offerings! The pulled pork and coleslaw from Rocklands BBQ is a perennial favorite at Glover Park Day and of course the kiddos loved the free snow cones. Not be left out, 4 legged furry friends had their own obstacle course set up in the dog park area (pro tip – Guy Mason has one of the few legal dog parks in DC).

We really enjoyed catching up with so many of our past clients from Glover Park and made a few new friends in the process. Glover Park is a wonderful community to be a part of and we were thrilled to contribute to Glover Park Day 2017. See you next year!
