With the original Glover Park Day rescheduled from June, and a hurricane approaching over the weekend, we were unsure whether GPD would be a go – but we’re sure glad it was! We were thrilled to once again be a GOLD level sponsor of Glover Park Day, celebrating its it’s 29th year. The whole day turned out to be warm, sometimes sunny and, most importantly, dry.

We were set up right near the children’s area with our giraffe striker and wheel of prizes, so the whole section was a flurry of activity and smiles. We were also pleased to meet our new friend Napoleon the sheep, who hung out across from us all day.

Every Glover Park restaurant was represented and set up a stand in the basketball court turned “food court” so everyone was able to get a taste of the many dining options the neighborhood has to offer. Also available? Sno-cones, which Dana enjoyed!

Many neighbors stopped and asked ‘how is the market in  Glover Park this year’? And we’re sure glad they did because Glover Park has posted some really strong sales year to date. We were happy to discuss overall stats and specific sales from the most affordable condo to the most expensive house.

Later in the afternoon, we were greeted by a very special celebrity guest – Teddy from the Nationals’ Racing Presidents! Along with the kids, Teddy took his turn testing his strength on our giraffe slammer. Kids and parents alike had fun spinning our wheel to win candy, or one of our colorful beach balls, both of which were a hit!

Glover Park is such a tight-knit community, and we’re so glad to be part of this celebration. It was so great to see so many past clients from the neighborhood, and meet some new friends. We’re looking forward to it again, in 2019!
