Little Beast is one of the newest additions to the Chevy Chase, DC dining scene.

If you haven’t had a chance yet, be sure to check it out. Their ownership has local roots, and is eager to play an active role in the community. Here’s a little more about the newest restaurant in the ‘hood.

Aaron Gordon, owner of Little Beast not only lives in CCDC, but he grew up here as well. Because of his familiarity with and affection for the area, he thought the neighborhood was an underserved market that deserved a “neighborhood joint” to kick back, grab a bite, and enjoy a drink.

So far, the best-selling item on the Little Beast menu is their pizza – a thin crust Neapolitan style with various topping choices. Also popular are their brussel sprouts, and beet salad – which has recently been added to the menu. For dessert, the chocolate cake is not only getting rave reviews, but is also dairy-free and eggless for those with dietary restrictions.

If you don’t have time it sit down and enjoy the dining room or patio, Little Beast recently added take-out services, although it does not yet have any delivery service options. Also new is the nightly happy hour running from 9-11 PM with select cocktails for $7, wines for $6, and $4 beers.

Starting in January, Little Beast will serve brunch Friday – Sunday.

Little Beast aspires to be an active part of the CCDC community, and Gordon plans to spread awareness of local events, create partnerships, and help connect the community with its neighbors.
