Happy Thanksgiving!

From all of us at The Stokes Group, we want to wish you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much for which to be thankful, and we wanted to share some of those things with you!

Anslie Stokes Milligan

I’m thankful for my children: Weston (4), Whitaker (2) and Alex (6)

I am so very grateful to our clients for their continued confidence in our team as their trusted real estate professionals and for allowing us to continue doing what we love. So many of our clients have become good friends and that is the most rewarding part of my job.

I am also incredibly thankful for our entire group and so proud of the way we are collectively dedicated to advocating on behalf of and serving our clients each and every day. Dana and I have been working together as a team for 5 years; she is force to be reckoned with and I continue to be inspired by her dedication and passion for this job. Ryan has also been a part of our group for 5 years and he is, in many ways, the bedrock of the team. With an even manor and extraordinary ability to multitask, Ryan keeps the backend of this team running smoothly and is constantly pushing innovative ways to serve our clients at a higher level. Taylor, a long-time repeat client who became a friend in the process, was a welcome addition to our team in 2016. I am grateful for her unique perspective and the enthusiasm she brings to our team and her clients each and every day. Lauren and Colleen round out this incredible group with their deep skill-sets and client first mentality.

Above all else, I am thankful for my supportive husband and our 3 boys, Alex, Weston & Whitaker. It is entirely because of Will that I can do this job and entirely for Alex, Weston and Whitaker that I do. They make every day an adventure and I wouldn’t want to be along for the ride with anyone else.

I’m thankful to be an aunt!

I am thankful for my first (and only) nephew, Brady. Brady has expanded my definition of love and has brought my family closer together. His two year old curiosity and enthusiasm for understanding the world around him is inspirational. I feel lucky to be his (favorite) auntie.

I’m so thankful for my husband.

I’m thankful for my husband, Ian. I couldn’t ask for a more caring or supportive partner. I feel so fortunate that we were able to express and celebrate our love earlier this year with our families and friends. I can’t wait to see what the next year will bring!

Ryan Merrill

I’m thankful for my family, and afternoons on the golf course!

I am thankful that I am able to spend the holidays with my entire family and friends in Florida every year, and escape from the cold! It is something I look forward to all year long and I feel fortunate that we are able to continue our annual Florida trip year after year. I am also thankful that I have found a passion for playing golf and that I am able to play as often as I do. I really enjoy challenging myself on the multitude of golf courses that the DMV has to offer.  It is also a great excuse to spend more time outdoors and take a break from busy city life!

I’m so thankful for and lucky to have my friends!

I’m thankful for my health, the ability to see good doctors and specialists.  I’m thankful for my family, some of whom pay for me to travel to such specialists!  I am thankful for my always-understanding husband and in-laws.  I am thankful for my dog who passes no judgement whatsoever.  I am thankful to be able to help so many people in so many different ways in my role at work.  I am thankful for the roof over my head and gas in my car.  But really, truly, what has gotten me thru this year are my friends.  Near, far, old, young, Nationals fans or not, my friends are the best!  I made new friends in Orlando in June, for whom I’m extremely thankful, and I have kept up what I know are ever-lasting friendships with many nearby in my hometown of Alexandria, VA.  They pretend like they’ve disowned me for moving to Maryland, but, they’re stuck with me for life!

Blue skies and sunshine at a wedding with my boyfriend – life is good!

I’ve always felt that if you have your health, you have everything – so I’m very thankful to be healthy. I’m also incredibly blessed to have a supportive family, wonderful boyfriend, and friends who are truly family. I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but I’m also thankful that the Philadelphia Eagles are playing so well this season! Let’s go Birds!
